Washing Machine Door Interlock

If your washing machine is not starting, but the facia panel seems to show that all is correct, it could actually be an issue with the door interlock. If the door interlock fails, it means that your machine will not operate.

Bosch door interlock replacement, basic DIY person - easy money saver

Having had trouble with my 15 year old Bosch washing m/c for months, decided to try DIY fix. Researched Internet, seemed pretty basic, ordered part [arrived super quick], fitted pretty easy and I'm really no expert. Message is ... don't be afraid, common sense and a safe approach make this a very easy job.

Door interlock 1 Answer

do I have to replace both items - stock no's ES505297 and ES110218? my machine was working but now the ''door'' light does not come on so water does not flow into machine, so guess it's the interlock that has gone

ES110218 is a magnetic catch for integrated machines decor doors. Check your motor brushes (see How to replace the carbon brushes on a washing machine - Bosch: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/1379 )
