It is very important not to connect this switch incorrectly as this would damage the board, an engineer would trace the connections out with a meter. If you are unable to fit this part either contact an engineer or you can return subject to our policy listed at: http://www.espares.co.uk/returns.

Can I test door switch with a meter to see if switch is faulty

You cannot fully check a door switch as it needs to be powered up to switch correctly. Basically when the switch is pushed by the latch pin this closes a circuit between the live and neutral connections that powers an internal heater. As this heats it causes a bimetal controls switch to close and power the rest of the machine. If your door locks but nothing else works check the motor brushes first.
