I have ordered the seal from you. The video is not for this machine. There is no instruction manual anywhere, as to how to remove the panels. There seems to be many Bosch how to videos. This model doesn’t have a removable kick plate. Think it has screws on the base to hold the front plate in. If I just remove the lid could I get enough access.

The front panel does come off to allow access to the door seal, with the top off you will need to remove the control panel to get to the front panel screws behind and there are screw holding the panel at the bottom.

Answer this question

There is an occasional strange noise coming out of this machine and further research shows that there is nothing obviously wrong with the mechanical components. However I have found that the clip around the outside edge of the door seal has come loose; additionally there is a lot of waste material (e.g. small clumps of wool, etc.) within the fold of that seal. Since this might be the cause of the noise it would obviously be advantageous to remove that waste and I had aimed to remove the seal to clean it but I have found it does not appear to be possible to remove the machine front (as suggested in your excellent video). Would you be able to provide any further advise regarding this make of machine ?

The seal does not need to be removed to be cleaned and this would not cause a noise, we recommend a cleaner for the seal www.espares.co.uk/product/es1566874/espares-washing-machine-and-dishwasher-cleane?pageNumber=1&SearchTerm=dishwasher%20cleaner
