It is made from Borosilicate glass which won't stain and doesn't give off any taste. The strainer is made from stainless steel, so will not retain the flavour allowing it to be used over and over. The silicone plunger locks the tea in the bottom of the filter, which cuts access of water to stop the brewing process. This also means the tea can be used multiple times. Simply remove the plunger, fill the pot back up with water, wait 4-8 minutes, press down on the plunger and you will have another freshly brewed pot of tea.
