As long as the cables can be stretched to connect this should be possible when using Stock Number ES1747076
Does the transformer shut down if the USB lead is left in but the device to be charged is not? 1 Answer

The supply being of a 'switched mode' type the current when not in use is very little however it does not 'switch off' when not in use.
