I have two adjoining flats, each with front doors, but I need to use only one for the bell. I need to hear the bell in each flat and two bells in the flat we mostly live in. I am hard of hearing.

We cannot confirm suitability but would suggest you use the correct mains transformer as it is going to be powered continually.

If not, any idea where I could find a bell suitable for outdoor use which would be compatible with my wired system? Could I use an outdoor telephone bell for this?

This bell works on 8 volts ac from a normal bell transformer and if installed correctly should be suitable but may be best to be placed in a 'sheltered' position not where rain can penetrate as not listed as weather proof.
