You will need to refer to the markings on the spool, as it needs to be wound in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction depending on your model. Please see the following page for more information: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/11/1273

We believe the line is wound in the opposite direction to the arrow indicating the spool rotation direction.
