My ice dispenser in our RSH1DBRS is over filling and ice is coming out in blocks. After the ice dispenses the tray fills as normal, but I can here water coming in a second time.

You would need to check the water valve supplying the dispenser, also check the arm is functioning correctly and it could also be the PCB.

Answer this question

Hi, My RSA1DHMH Fridge/freezer won't produce ice. When I press the check button at the bottom of the motor unit of the ice maker nothing happens. Am I right to assume that if nothing happens then this unit as a whole has failed so it won't fill with water or rotate to dispense the ice cubes? Or does this part not regulate that water needs to be injected into the tray? If I manually fill the ice tray when its frozen nothing still happens. Any advice would be helpfull All the best. Lee

There could be few reasons as to why your ice maker is no longer producing ice. - Check to see if the ice off button on the display of your fridge is illuminated. If so press and hold the button for 3 seconds and this should activate the ice on function. The ice maker can take up to two hours to produce ice so make sure you allow it enough time after switching it on. - Check if the water valve located at the back of your fridge is connected or in the on position, supplying water to the ice maker. - The ice maker may just require a reset. The reset button to the ice maker is located at the back or the sides of the ice maker which is usually clear or black in colour depending on the model of your appliance.
