    That sounds like the compressor is drawing excessive current and cutting out. Compressors cannot only be replaced with specialist equipment by a refrigeration systems engineer. We suggest you contact Repaircare.

    If the compressor is running and there is no signs of ice inside the fridge or freezer or if the compressor is hot and not running then it would suggest a faulty compressor or no gas in the system. Both faults would require a refrigeration system engineer.
