I have a DRCS 68W that is revolving and getting very hot but the clothes are just staying wet. Its like no air is circulating or something. I was hoping to find a fan or something as a part but none are listed. Not sure what part to replace, any ideas please?

  • Thank you Chris, I had already cleaned the condensor and filter so I can eliminate that. The problem happened suddenly so i guess that also removes the filter from the suspect list. Thank you By Ian - huntingdon - 18 October 2013

The belt goes round the outside of the drum down and around the motor spindle between the two belt tension wheels. These pinch the belt from either side to remove any slack and tension the belt.

The part you refer to is not likely to be the problem. Dismantle the drier heater assembly on the top of the drum and check for signs of damage to the drier heater element.

The first thing you need to do is check and clean the filter and the condenser at the bottom of the drier. Take the condenser out and flush warm water through to flush out any fluff or lint build up.

  • Thankyou for the advice regarding the reset button on the blue wires!! By Anonymous - north wales - 08 November 2014
  • The screws are all that holds the panel on - the panel will still come off with the rivets in place. Did you know the thermostat with the blue wires going to it has a reset button on it? I found out after I bought a replacement - not mentioned in the manual anywhare either!! By Ron - Scotland - 15 August 2012

We believe the thermostats are part of the element as shown in the photo attached to the part.
