Cooker Hood Carbon Filter

Your cooker hood's charcoal filter is responsible for trapping food odours and grease, and re-circulating fresh air. Replace your carbon filter regularly to keep your extractor fan working its magic.

It is recommended to change your carbon filters every 6 months (or when the filter is heavily soiled). With the help of eSpares and this replacement filter, you will get your cooker hood back to doing what it does best - eliminating cooking odours!

Press the catches on the two filter grids (Stock Number ES622954) to remove them. Remove the old filter by turning it a little and lifting off the pegs. Fit the new filter over the pegs and turn slightly to lock it into position. Then refit the grid filters.

Hi Anon, You should replace both the carbon and the grease filters regularly. The reason is that the two filters are responsible for different functions. The grease filter helps remove fats that have become airborne during the cooking process. Air travels through your grease filters first and the carbon filters second. The carbon filters are responsible for neutralising the odours from the collected grease. Carbon filters won't work if they're coated in grease so it's important that you keep the grease filters maintained. We sell 'cut to size' grease filters that are economical and easy to fit.
