Oven Grill Element - 1700W

If you have noticed that the fan oven is not heating up as usual, this could be due to a faulty fan oven element. This element is the circular element in the oven, and can fail if the internal element filament burns out - causing a short circuit.

If this has happened to your element, or you have noticed visual signs of a split, bulge or blow hole on the element, then it sounds like it is time to get it replaced.

eSpares has this replacement fan oven element, which could soon be fitted in your oven to bring back the heat - and get you on your way to cooking those great tasting meals again in no time!

Answer this question

New Element/existing element has three terminals. 2x power and a third which must be earth. No earth cable visible within cooker or appears to have been connected to old element. Perhaps this has fallen off the old element or do I only need 2x live power cables? Perhaps earth terminal is for other installations. Thank you.

The element will be earthed through the connection bolts on the rear wall of the cooker. In some appliances they may have an additional earth connection but this is not normally necessary.

Answer this question

If you can see the screw heads on either side of the bracket on the back wall of the grill the element is likely to be removed without taking the back off the appliance.
