Replacement cooker hood bulbs - twin pack

On line selecting made easy (and more confidently) with e-spares part suitability checked against my appliance model. Easy ordering and had prompt delivery. Fitting was a bit fiddley due to access through hood panels - once there, to replace the screw in bulbs in was easy enough! I replaced both bulbs at same time rather than change the 'old' one next week? Both bulbs now brilliant!

The bulbs failed so replaced both with genuine bulbs but neither work in the hood. The fan and controls etc work but not the lights. I have checked the bulb holder contacts and pulled the contact plate up but still not working. There is not much more to go wrong with the bulb holder. I assume that it is likely to be the light switch that has failed somehow. Is this likely?

You will need to check the continuity of connections from the switch to the power connection and through to the lamps and motor. Remember to disconnect first before working on it.

  • There are no obvious 'witness marks' where blackening has occurred. By Malcolm - cotswolds - 05 November 2014

The switch may be OK but the board that the switch is on may have been damaged if the bulb went short circuit. Examine the switch assembly for 'witness marks' where blackening has occurred from damage.

Unfortunately we are unable to provide the dimensions of this part. The parts listed on our website are all model and serial number dependant (apart from universal parts). In order for us to locate the correct spares for your appliance we would need the model information requested. Without this we cannot guarantee that the part ordered will be the correct one for your appliance.
