ive got a whiteknight dryer that the heating is not working taken a look one of the elements is broken but if its fitted with 2 elements are these element linked to gether so that if one brakes then both dont work please email back with you apinion cheers

  • Elements are linked together electronically so if one is broken then the other won't work - you can't buy then seperatly anyway By hannah11 - Belfast - 21 April 2010
  • Hi.If If one element is broken the other should work if on the high setting.If it dose not both elements are broken.They come as a pair linked together any way.Hope it helps. By passat1 - hull - 08 April 2010

  • No i have not got a diagram.I wrote down what wires went were before I disconnected the old element.The blue wire went to the spade that is strapped to 2 terminals 2 black wires went to another spade and 1 red to another but i cannot remember wich way round.Ihope this helps By passat1 - hull - 08 April 2010

    Hi Markj, I wouldn't want to give you any dodgy advice! This element fits many different dryers, each with slightly different wiring systems. I wouldn't like to give any advice to you that might not be right for your dryer and therefore be dangerous.

    There are two heating elements joined on one side. Each element is likely to be between 60 and 40 ohms approximately in resistance.

Took all the screws out of the Backing & still can not get to replace the heater Element. The screws in back panel ones in the centre needs to come out but with hand held screwdriver its a no go. any suggestions

  • Assuming you mean the three bolts holding the main bearing - try laying the dryer down on its front then you can get a bit more purchase. Worked for me. By Peter - London - 03 October 2013
