My Dyson DC07 Origin

My Dyson DC07 Origin has packed up after 7 great years of service, sadly they dont make this model anymore and I have tried the subsequent models but cant surpass this one, however it was making a funny rattling sound when my wife was using it and she switched it off as she said it smelled odd, latter when I plugged it it in it make a very loud rattling sound, then a growling sound, smelled of burning and slowly died (in about 60 seconds), I suspect this to be the motor. I am about to buy a new motor from you and as you say it looks a bit fiddly but how hard can it be? my main question is do you think it is the motor and is the new motor you sell the same suction and power as the original one? Thank you and kindest regards

If the machine does not run properly with the belt and canister removed then it is very likely that the motor has failed. The new motor should be as powerful as the original fitted.
