Do I need to use a heat resistant sealant also as the seal will actually be fitted on the door not the oven surround.
there would be quite a gap between the hooks and the original seal was stuck down as well as hooked. My cooker is a Leisure Bistro 55 ng 5767.

The seal should not be stuck down just held taught by trimming a little shorter than the actual length and stretching into position.
