Over time the door seal in your tumble - like most things will eventually become damaged or perish. When this happens especially with a piece of rubber such as a door seal - the heat no longer will remain in the appliance leading to your clothes not drying or taking too long.
Or if you have a condenser dryer you’ll find that it will no longer work correctly. Now to replace the seal is very simple and in this guide, we’ll prove that to you. Now in the video below the appliance used for demonstration by Rory has two seals but the removal and refitting process is the exact same.
Follow the guide below and within the blink of an eye the seals will be changed and your tumble dryer will be drying your clothes in no time.
This video shows an example on how to remove or replace the part on a typical machine, some models may be different but the procedure should be similar.
What You Will Need:
...that's really it
Step 1 - Remove the Door Seal(s)
Nice and easy - simply pull the seal away from the door.
Step 2 - Refit the Door Seal(s)
And just simply - “jimmy” the seal back into the groove.
No word of a lie it’s that simple. I would like to tell you more, perhaps give you the science behind it but why, the job was so quick you can now go enjoy a nice cup of tea, coffee or whatever you want to drink.
