Let's get started! To learn how to fix any and all Karcher hose connection issues, either watch our video below or follow our written step-by-step guide beneath.

In the video above, one of our presenters walks you through all the different Karcher hose connection problems and how to fix them.

Issue 1 - Connecting the hose-to-gun connection

First, let's take a look at the hose-to-gun connection. If you're struggling to connect your Karcher hose to the gun, here's how to do it.

First, slot the hose into the gun. When you do this, it might seem like the hose is fully connected... but it won't actually be fully connected until it clicks into place. Turn the hose in either direction, working it around and pushing it in until you actually hear the hose click all the way into place. Otherwise, the hose will just come out of the gun again.

It's also important to know how to disconnect your Karcher hose from the gun too. This is fairly simple. Just press down the yellow hose release button on the gun...

And at the same time, pull the hose connection out of the gun smoothly. That's how to remove a Karcher hose from the gun - it's that easy!

Issue 2 - Connecting the hose at the back of the pressure washer

Now let's look at connection issues at the back of the pressure washer. A common user error is trying to fit the Karcher hose into the back of the pressure washer with the hose clip already slotted into place, as pictured below.

However, this clip needs to be fitted afterwards. Otherwise, the clip will obstruct the hose from going all the way in, although it will seem like it has. This will cause issues such as water leaking from the connection, and the hose popping out every time you try to use the pressure washer. So, before connecting the hose at the back, make sure the clip is not in place - and remove it if it is.

With the clip removed, take a look at the connection end of the hose. You will see that the connection has two flat sides.

Then look at the connection at the back of the pressure washer. You will see two flat sides (one on either side of the opening).

When fitting the hose, make sure the flat sides on both connections align properly. This will allow you to slot the hose connection all the way into the back connection until it clicks into place.

Then, once the hose is fully in place, you can then secure the hose by slotting the clip into place. Remember, this clip is essential. Without it, the hose will simply pop out again when you try to use the pressure washer.
