Just received cutting plate for flymo shredder which fitted my qualcast quiet shredder perfect within ten minutes of fitting i had my shredder munching through all my hedge cuttings and tree branches very pleased with price as well especially as other sites are charging twice the price 10/10

Find a replacement for the Qualcast SDS2810 shredder without. It has the same ID numbers cast into it as well as the exact dimensions of my original. Works

Fitted to another make of shredder sold by a well known DIY store which obviously thinks that shredders are disposable - Did the job and saved me a new shredder.Also notably more robust than the original!

Good replacement for Macallister 2800w shredder pressure plate 11 May 2016
I bought this to replace the pressure plate (cutting plate) on a Macallister 2800w shredder which is essentially a different badged version of flymo and qualcast shredder versions. Although this pressure plate doesn't look identical to the one that broke in the Macallister, it fits perfectly and works just as well, if not better. It is much sturdier than the macallister original. A good product that was delivered within a few days and doors the job well.

Ordered 3pm-got the part next morning! Someone gave fitting instruction in previous review which made the job very simple, Shredder now good as new. Will use E Spares for anything I need they sell-this is second time used them

There are no clear instructions as to how to fit it, and phoning e-spares did not help. So I shall try to explain! First, disconnect from power, then unscrew the adjustment screw as far as you can. Unscrew the four retaining screws in the aluminium plate at the back of the machine, remove the plate with care, and the cutting plate can easily be removed. Tip the machine forward so that the drive shaft is vertical, place the new cutting plate in place, and the aluminium retaining plate can easily be replaced without the cutting plate falling out of position (n.b. the machine needs to be held in place while you do this). Replace the four screws and tighten. Set the machine upright, switch on the power, and reset the adjusting screw until the cutting whhel just touches the plate.

This cutting plate seems better made than the original andwas easily fitted. Price was also about 2/3rds of other suppliers

Perfect replacement for a Qualcast silent shredder 25 July 2017
My Qualcast shredder was struggling to shred anything, this replacement part has exactly the same part numbers as the original and was easy to fit and now my machine works like new once again. fast delivery as usual from e spares a very happy customer
