  Excellent part for obsolete trimmer - second one in six years! 01 October 2014

  I haven't used the one I just bought yet, but I fitted one of these to my McCulloch MT300x trimmer almost six years ago to the day (October 2008!) and it has been used regularly and has only just given up the ghost. It's fair to say that I was not being particularly kind to it when it failed. This one looks like it is of the same quality as the original, so I'm looking forward to a few years use. As the original parts are no longer available, at the price I wouldn't be bothered if it only lasted a year or two, but I have high hopes for it! The McCulloch should have died by now, but it also seems to just keep going and I'm happy to keep feeding it fuel and line! Easy to fit. Just need to make sure the shaft is clean and I also spray greased the bearing at the end of the shaft on the trimmer for good measure. The line is a little bit fiddly to fit, but no different from the original. Great service as usual from eSpares, arrived promptly and well packed.

  This is a good quality item that functions exactly as it is supposed to. I bought this item for a McCulloch MAC 65-SL which is a discontinued model and impossible to find the original head. By drilling and tapping a hole in the end of the drive shaft it was possible to fit this head. I am a very happy bunny with this part, as it is better than the original. However, if you do have a strimmer that it is intended for, I am certain that you will be pleased with it.
