  My microwave stopped turning so immediately looked at replacing the whole thing at a cost of £300.   Part Identicle to original 09 May 2018

  Part was identicle to the appliance manufacturers original. Fitting was less than straight forward as the access required removal of a semi punched panel on the underside of the microwave and refitting with a self tapping screw. The panel was obviously designed for access to the motor but required a little work to remove and fit back in place.

  A fine product with good visual instructions 23 April 2018

  Video most helpful. Low fitting rating due to my model, Panasonic NNA574, needing metal to be bent and cut away, to get to screws - difficult, dangerous and time-consuming. Found spring clips on the cable ends by accident. A mention of these by your demonstrator would have helped.

  So simple to replace 12 December 2017

  Having accessed the turntable motor compartment via the bottom of the microwave, I found the exact motor type and ordered like for like. Once received it was simple to remove the old motor by unscrewing two screws, disconnecting the two spade connectors and reconnecting to the new replacement motor. Worked first time. NOTE: You may find that the metal plate covering the motor is still part of the original bottom plate of the microwave. You will see a rectangular shape held in place by a few thin metal tabs. Just snip these off to remove the plate and access the motor. When refitting, turn the plate the other way around and insert the two rectangular tabs sticking out into two slots. A third tab has a hole in it and you will need to use a small screw to simply hold the plate in place. Sounds far more complicated that it actually is! This is a very simple DIY job.

  Bought this for a Whirlpool microwave 11 September 2017

  Bought this motor to replace the one in my Ikea Whirlpool microwave. It looked the same as the one in my microwave although it is listed as for a Panasonic microwave. Was cheaper than the motor for the Whirlpool so I thought I would be clever and get this one...... Arrived in Slovenia very quickly as with all Espares deliveries and postage is really reasonable. When fitting it it became apparent that the spindle that connects to the turntable was bigger than that of my Whirlpool....... Ended up having to strip down the motors and swapped the internal metal backplate with cog pins, the cogs and the plastic spindle for the turntable from the old motor and put them in the new motor. Bit of a pain but only took about ten minutes to figure it out, works like a dream now. I would advise taking a photo of the cogs in place if you do decide to swap them over. If you are not confident with this sort of thing, pay the extra and buy the one for the Whirlpool. One word of warning, do not rotate the turntable spindle manually with pliers whilst the two metal electrical connectors of the motor are touching the palm of your hand or for that matter any other body part. I gave myself a nasty shock, like a capacitor discharging. This was not connected to the mains, kind of a dynamo effect I would imagine. Every day's a learning curve!
