  Good substitute for Dyson DC20 Stowaway Allergy 31 January 2021

  I have a 15 year old Dyson , model DC20 Stowaway Allergy hoover . It’s still going strong so I did not want to buy a new hoover .The old plastic tubing in the floor head had broken so I started to source a new one . I ordered this one from eSpares and I’m delighted with it . Here is the pros and cons . My pros outweighed my cons because it works really well . Pros . Fantastic price compared to buying a new Dyson hoover . Quick delivery. Quality product . It is different to the original head , it’s slimmer and not as bulky or heavy. It doesn't have the up down action for carpets or wooden floors . Initially I thought it might not suction as well as the original but it wasn’t the case .. I have both wooden floors and carpets and honestly , I’m thrilled with it, it works on both with absolute ease. It’s slim ,easy to manoeuvre, has great suction , the less bulky head is actually a positive . I hope to get another few years out of my Dyson and this has helped me to do that . My kids who hoover too prefer this new head !! Extra positive !! Cons . It has an extra piece that comes with it and I couldn’t figure out how to attach that, it turns out ,for my hoover it wasn’t needed ,so it must be adaptable for other Dyson hoovers . No instructions with it , which is a pity . The head has no side clip to clip onto your hoover body ,when you are finished hoovering , so I just leave it on the hoover hose . It can be pulled off so you can put on the other attachments but you need to give it a good tug . Overall for the price and for the age of my hoover , I’m delighted I bought it because it does the job and it does it as good as the original head, if not better . I’m going to get another few years out of my Dyson for a relatively small price , which is what I wanted and my kids prefer to hoover with it too !! Win win.

  Good but not perfect 09 August 2017

  Bought this as it was advertised as suitable for Dyson DC19 Comet Exclusive cleaner. Actual Floor Tool is almost identical to original and fits into the end of the hose tube but does not "click" into place. Product comes with short extension which appears to convert connection with a "click" connection to the Floor Tool but the problem is the tube for this extension does not fit into hose tube nor does it have a "click" connection. A little creativity has overcome the difficulty although this shouldn't have been necessary.

  Very impressed with product which fits my very old DC08 hoover - only one comment is that it pulls off quite easily if caught whilst hoovering but all in all it replaced a very shabby hoover head and I'm delighted with the product.

  Unfortunately the spare part doesn't click securely in place like the original part, and the adapter also wont fit our original vacuum, I think as our vacuum is well over 12 yrs old, the fittings must have been updated. However it does seem to fit snuggly in place and am hopeful it will function ok.

  Excellent Replacement Head 13 February 2016

  This is an excellent original Dyson product, I bought it as a replacement to a broken head. This is actually better then the previous head as it can get under a lot of furniture the previous head was unable to. This head is good on both carpet and hard floors.
