  • Hi I have since opened the assembly, simply by prising off the "spring clip" that holds the glass in place, and successfully replaced the bulbs - just in case anyone has the same issue, easy to do and a lot cheaper too. By Anonymous - Halifax - 24 November 2014

We believe the bulb cannot be replaced separately and you may nead to fit the whole assembly Stock Number: ES623159.

One of the bulbs has gone on my cooker hood - Hotpoint he6tbk - but stupidly before I found out how to remove the bulb (prize out the bulb holder from underneath) I took out the entire lamp holder fitting by releasing the metal clamps from underneath the filters. The problem now is that I can't get the lamp holder back in place! I've tried every which way but loose but can't refit it. Does anyone have any tips?

The lamp holder Stock Number: ES1127790 has a spring strip that holds it tightly in place. if you have stretched the spring you may need to replace the whole lam assembly.

WE do not know if your lamp fitting Stock Number: ES1386455 can be dismantled to access the lamp but if it can this bulb may be suitable.

If you can obtain led lamps that will fit then they should work in any cooker hood with a transformer.

  • gently ease out the bezel and the glass, from underneath. Then remove the bulb and use a tissue or similar as these are halogen bulbs and must not be touched by bare skin as they can burn out very quick otherwise By petestoney - liverpool - 24 January 2012
