If you are having difficulties fitting this part see the following advice offered from one of our other customers:

This part is easy to fit. 1) Insert the spring into the white plastic cross on the extension tube. 2) Reattach the metal prongs into the holes either side if needed. 3) Place the little plastic button over the metal prongs at the end (using the little notches cut into the button). 4) Line up the cover with the hole for the button and push down hard until it clicks into place.

    Hi seeker019, this button doesn't come with fitting instructions, however it shouldn't be too difficult to fit. Vacuum buttons tend to clip on and off with a little bit of force; failing that, then removing the casing around the button by unscrewing the screws holding it in place should give you access to the button. Check out this video for help: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/vacuum-cleaners/a/4/1321/how-to-replace-the-actuators-and-springs-on-a.html. I know it's a Dyson in the video, but hopefully it'll help give you a rough idea of how to change your vacuum's push button.
