I hadn't checked the filter for ages. Unable to remove it as it had seized. I ordered a replacement. It arrive promptly. Managed to get the old one out by drilling a large hole and using a pair of pliers to unscrew it. No problem. Applied some white grease on the thread and screwed the new filter on. In future I'll check the filter regularly and apply grease if required to stop it seizing

All hell broke loose when our washing machine stopped! Call out charges were ridiculous and a new machine would have cost a fortune. ESpares saved the day: I was able to locate the part needed on line and a quick call to eSpares helpful customer service staff confirmed the part number would fit our machine. It was delivered quickly and was simple to fit. We must have saved at least two pony on call out & repair charges.

  • Q Removing filter 1 Answer

Does this item completely unscrew or does it just require a twist and withdrawal?

    By Mickey - glasgow - 28 March 2014

    • A
We believe this will require around 3 revolutions to unscrew before removal. If it will not turn it is likely that hair grips or coins are preventing it turning. Remove the pump and clear the debris as in our video: • http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/1373/how-to-replace-the-pump-on-a-washing-machine-
