Purchased because the vacuum was not picking up fluff from carpets. Only comment relates to how difficult it is to fit the drive belt. It's hard to get the belt over the drive spindle as it's hard to get access. NOTE - Nothing wrong with the part supplied by espares; more an issue with Dyson design.

The brush bar on our Dyson D14 vacuum cleaner split causing vacuuming to become a very noisy affair. I received the new brush bar within a few days of the order and managed to fit the new one without too much trouble, resulting in a much quieter and efficient vacuum cleaner.
  • Superb as usual.

  • Q Vacuum hard to push 1 Answer

Could the brush bar brushes be worn causing it to be to heavy to push

On deep pile the cleaner head will draw the brushes to the carpet with the passing air. This machine is automatic adjusting for cleaner head height so no manual adjustment can change this. Make sure your brushes are rotating but replacing them is unlikely to improve the effort needed to use it.

  • Q My Dyson o1 has started to scratch my floors, do you think it could be the brush roller? 1 Answer

Depending on your floors finish it could be marked from grit on the wheels especially if used to clean the car on the driveway. If the wheels seem clean then suspect the brush roll.
