    Dyson brushroll

The part is an original genuine spare therefore correct for the purpose. I cannot comment on value for money as I did not look anywhere else. Fitting the part was not as shown in the espares video as my machine is likely an earlier model but it was easy nevertheless. I am happy with the purchase and service

Site is as good as the product

With so many different versions of the DC07 I had difficulty in deciding which spare I needed until I found this site which showed each version based on colour of machine. I was also very impressed with the video of how to instal this item and had no trouble in following the directions. The "need help" Flag was also very comforting as athough I installed the part without difficulty I knew that if I got stuck someone was inviting me to ask them. 100% satisfied with spare purchased and site of this supplier.

Brilliant saved me buying a new Dyson.

My Dyson wasn't working properly, I checked this site and found exactly what the problem was and more importantly how to cure it. I ordered the brushroller assembly and it arrived very quickly and my husband fitted it quickly and easily. My Dyson now works better than it has for a long time.

The brush should lightly contact the surface and also 'beat' the carpet to help agitate dirt loose from the carpet fibres.

  • Does the brush bristles actually touch the carpet as it is spinning. By James - - 18 April 2015

Hi Rotty, this is indeed the brushroll for your vacuum.

Answer this question

Can't remove the brush belt as in Matt's video on changing brushbar which is combined with sole plate. Mine has seperate brushbar and sole plate.

  • My DC07 allergys belt can't be removed from the motor. I used a pair of long nosed pliers, to open the belt for brush removal. This really is a two handed job but easily done once figured out. By Matalow - Scotland - 09 December 2014
  • Not easy - You need to lever the belt off the old brush bar and onto the new one - I used a screw driver to do this!! By Anonymous - Scotland - 30 December 2011

Answer this question

I've found the video for replacing the standard DC07, but the animal looks slightly different. Do you have a video, or instructions for this?

  • some vacuums you can slip the belt off the main motor but on the click I could not get access. To change this item on the dc07 click, I had to get the drive belt off. I did this by lifting the belt off the brushroll (you can get a tool to do this). the brush roll in my case just clicked out from both ends. By kevin - birmingham - 25 April 2011
