I have an Hygena cooker hood extrator fan that does not go outside but i have 2 numbers APM 2211 and APP 2300 can you please tell me which filter i need?

Hi Thomas36, these are two different models, I'm perplexed as to why you have both numbers! I don't know make of extractor. I bought it with kitchen from MFI 2005.

Take out a carbon filter and use a vacuum cleaner with a white tissue over the tip to draw air through the filter. If the tissue 'greys' it suggests charcoal dust is escaping the filter.
Use the vacuum to draw loose dust out of the filter and replace if required. There may be a little loose dust when a filter is replaced, a light vacuum may remove this.
