On most dishwashers the door lock activates the timer and other control components of the machine. Thus if the door lock isn’t working, your dishes won’t be getting cleaned.

This is a genuine spare part for select Hotpoint and Indesit dishwashers. Prior to ordering, please check the list of appliances to ensure this is the right part for you.

Please note: For some models this part is serial number dependent. Prior to ordering please check that your model and serial number are listed to make sure that this is the correct locking mechanism for your dishwasher. If you are unsure, please contact our Call Centre with the full details from your appliance data plate.

I checked that this product would be compatible with my Hotpoint LFT04UK/TA pror to ordering. The microswitch, however, did not fit my machine. Fortunately the microswitch on my broken door lock was functioning so I swapped the switches. The video was a good help.

  • Q just replaced door catch on my indesit dishwasher dif04 but machine continues to run when door is opened during cycle 1 Answer

Confirm that the lock is being changed when the door is opening. If the lock and catch are OK the problem is likely to be the module. This would need to be programmed by an engineer so check out Repaircare for a fixed price repair if this is required.

  • Q The plastic casing on the wires from the switch that attach to this mechanism is burnt on my dishwasher, can I replace this part? 1 Answer

New spade connectors and there insulators are available from many car accessory suppliers. It is good to replace the connectors as they may be weakened due to heat exposure.
