Will this part fit my appliance? [?]

On most dishwashers the door lock activates the timer and other control components of the machine. Thus if the door lock isn’t working, your dishes won’t be getting cleaned.

This is a genuine spare part for select Hotpoint and Indesit dishwashers. Prior to ordering, please check the list of appliances to ensure this is the right part for you.

Please note: For some models this part is serial number dependent. Prior to ordering please check that your model and serial number are listed to make sure that this is the correct locking mechanism for your dishwasher. If you are unsure, please contact our Call Centre with the full details from your appliance data plate.

Managed to fit the door lock myself, all thanks to Matt showing me how. The door lock arrived within 24 hours of ordering and it took about 30 minutes to fit. The door of my hotpoint dishwasher was slightly different, so it was a bit tricky. Don't think my husband will believe this when he gets home!

New spade connectors and there insulators are available from many car accessory suppliers. It is good to replace the connectors as they may be weakened due to heat exposure.
