    Please could you confirm that this fluff filter is the filter located just inside the door opening in the rim ( within the main body of the dryer ) The filter I am looking for is curved and about 12 - 18 inches long and about 2 inches wide.

      An air intake filter (if there is one) would probably be at the lowest part of the front of the machine. The lint filter inside the door is probably an exhaust filter. Unfortunately only a few manufacturers and model designers have the sense to fit air intake filters. Most (especially old non-condenser) suck air in through all aperture grilles under the unit - where there's bound to be dust. And that dust ends up on the heater element - causing fire risks.
