Very impressed by the whole process, from ease of ordering through delivery to information on website. I have never fitted a door seal before and although it looked easy enough I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to do it incorrectly and damage the seal or machine. I found a video on Youtube that explained it all. Perfect instruction and demonstration on the best way to fit this seal. Took about 30 minutes from time I pulled the machine from under the worktop to putting it back in place. The tips on using washing up liquid as a lube was very helpful and worked a treat. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to save money, not only on the part but no call out charge or expensive repair men. Quality is great, delivey was superfast. And a DODDLE TO FIT......

E-spares is simple to use, simply entered my model number of my washing machine and the part required and found it straight away.... Ordered the part which was delivered within the timescales set out and replaced it the evening it arrived which pleased my wife as washing was starting to build up. They even show you a video on how to replace the part!!!!

Although the fitting of the seal doesn't quite match up to the video as regards fitting of the seal an extra pair of hands came in handy. Machine back in service and looking a lot better.

Thanks Chris, Tur clamp band on the outside of the door seal is ok, but the inner spring-like band has come off and is warped from rattling around indside the drum and no longer holds the seal in place. This is the bit we'd need to replace (together with the actual door seal). Do you think they're easy to find as I can't see one available from ESpares. Thank you.

  • Q Does this door seal have a drain hole 2 Answers

    By Iain011 - 16 January 2010

There are two small drain holes, to prevent sitting water in the rubber ring. If you position, the moulded rubber part at the top, then the drain holes will be at the bottom, where they are supposed to be

  • Q Door Seal replacement for INTEGRATED machine 1 Answer

I have an Integrated Indesit Washing Machine. It would be really hard to take the machine out of the kitchen unit to remove any top or front -can I replace the seal by just removing the door? Also- do I need to also buy the circular fixings or can I reuse the old ones?

  • Q Same Question as oddjob in May 2011 - this seal is identified as fitting my machine 1 Answer

but the old seal does not have the rubber protrusion shown on the inner edge of the picture of this seal on the website. Did Oddjob have any problems after fitting the seal. the back face of the old seal is flat whereas the new one is ribbed.

    By steve - Leicestershire - 25 March 2014

As long as the seal fits and the drain holes are in the correct place then the extra protrusion is not a problem. Manufacturers will sometimes change a part in production and this lip is designed to help washing to keep away from the drum edge and nost rub the seal on spin.
