Not much you can say about 5 rubber washers - they fit, they work and overall happy with service.
A tenner delivered for 5 tiny bits of rubber is however rather steep.
hi can you tell me if this is a fault that is related to pump seals. my kb4040 will not auto stop when the trigger is released it carries on shunting if you know what i mean?would a seal kit fix it or is it something more serious. the machine is 2 years old so i was not thinking of replacing it just yet,if this is a seal problem will i have to strip the machine completely to gain access. any help is apprieciated also will the above kit be ok

Sounds like you have the same problem as me. Yes, a new seal on the high pressure output should do the trick. Not necessary to strip down m/c. I have to replace mine each spring and I have come to the conclusion that frost may have got into the works. The 'shunting' you refer to is the m/c trying to maintain pressure in the high pressure hose.
Hope this helps. Pack of 5 'O' rings should last you a few years, but keep the m/c away from frost.

QI have a Karcher 6.85, and it leaks water from underneath the machine, it started doing it one day when I was pressure washing my drive.Does this sound like a washer seal has gone?1 Answer

Hi doyzone, it could well be a seal that has gone, but it could also be a crack in one of the inlet or outlet covers. I'd advise opening up the washer and taking a look inside, checking all components for signs of damage, cracks or wear and tear.
