Bought the element for bosch sms4452 as the dishwasher although old ,still in good working order. It was fairly easy to replace.Just be careful when you undo the clip that holds the element at the back because the bolt fell through when i did it.Underneath is stone weight and i found it a bit tricky to put the bolt back.It is working good as new now

  • Q My dishwasher keeps blowing 13A fuses at the start of the wash cycle. The heater resistance measures 20.4 ohms, less than the 25 to 35 ohms suggested in your video but still meaning it draws less than 12A. Do you think this element is faulty or not? 1 Answer

Our video is a guide and a faulty element will usually be significantly higher or lower than the quoted values. The heater may be shorting to earth when powered. Try disconnecting and insulating the connectors to run a test. If the washer then starts to wash and can be turned to drain then it is likely your heater is faulty.
