Esay to order from espares on-line and delivered within a few days this plastic item requires careful cutting into two pieces just above the lower flange. The instructions do not adequately show the exact position of the cut line, but comparison with the existing age and heat hardened plastic item enabled the correct cut to be made to allow the side clips of the now seperated upper piece to clamp onto the lower section when pushed into the lower piece after this had been pushed into the spray arm. A little fiddly to do but overall only took 30 mins after unwrapping item before the dishwasher door was closed for a quick test.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this item available as a single unit, but I have bought from E-spares before and know their service and quality. The nozzle for my dishwasher duly arrived and I thought it would take only seconds to snap into place. - not so -, but the clear, if tiny, instructions guided me in severing the upper from the lower (small hacksaw needed) and then fettling the two pieces using small files and a side-cutter to allow the upper to enter the lower part in order to expand it and grip in the nozzle arm. I used a small clamp to press it home in a controlled fashion. Foolishly I had neglected to read the reviews before ordering or I would have known about what was needed in order to fit the nozzle. After fitting the nozzle I was amazed at the revived performance of the dishwasher. Job done! Thank you E-spares for your comprehensive stocks and clear website. WJC

Easy transaction, item arrived quickly and packaged well. As with other reviews, the only criticism would be instructions. The nozzle comes as a single piece and you need to saw it in half (where illustrated) but there is no mention of how to split it or any guidelines as to where. But just spend a few minutes studying the diagram and the arm nozzle and you can work it out easy enough.

  • Q Should I buy these or spray arm? 1 Answer

I have an ES1 602X Electrolux dishwasher.I found what I now know are lower spray arm nozzles in the bottom of the machine some time ago - so long ago that I don't even remember how many there were. Their absence must be why the cleaning power of this machine - never good - is worse than ever! Is it one nozzle on each spray arm? Where do they go? If I were to order a spray arm instead, are these nozzles included anyway? My machine is 9 years old. Would it be better to buy the whole spray arm? Would be grateful for your advice. Has anybody else had problems with this machine? It has never washed well. I see others putting dishes directly in their machine but mine would not get them clean without first rinsing by hand. Just a matter of interest really. Perhaps newer models are more efficient.

spray arm not required. The plastic lower spray arm nozzle does fit eventually. This part is NOT easy to fit. A plastic spare part for a modern dishwasher should come ready to snap into place. The fitting instructions are very poor and a customer should not be expected to cut up a spare part with a stanley knife or hacksaw and then a file before it can be fitted. It was not easy and took me the best part of an hour and a half. If I ever have to order this part again I will insist that YOU cut it in half and snap it into place before you send it to me. However once I had used my boy scout skills it fitted and works fine.
