When my steam generator flashed replace last filter, I thought I'd have to buy a new iron because of the age of my iron, but out of curiosity I went online and found the very replacement filters I needed. I couldn't believe the price of them and the amount you get, exceptional value for money, and I couldn't believe the ease and efficiency of the eSpares web site, and they update with emails every step of the way, they give amazingly speedy delivery, a total of three days from ordering to delivery. I strongly recommend anyone who needs spares of any kind, to check out this web site first.

It is likely if you have hard water that your iron is blocked with limescale. Try emptying and refilling with a product like Stock Number: ES1562116 to try and clear any limescale build up.

  • Q Can this item be used in demineralisers to first filter the water before pouring the water into the steam iron? 1 Answer

These 'filter bags' are normally fitted in a tube and water is flowed through them to help reduce or remove impurities like limescale. If you have some type of filter arrangement they are suitable for this purpose.
