Great value product. Easy to cut to size and fit. There's enough left in the sheet for another one.

This Universal Cooker Hood Grease Filter with Saturation Indicator is easy to fit and does an efficient job of stopping the fatty fumes from cooking gumming up the extractor fan. It is to fit after cutting to size with a pair of scissors. We can get two filters out of one sheet so it is a reasonably economical purchase. Finally, we like the idea that when the red lines on the filter show through you know it is time to change it. Iris S.

Slightly thinner and more 'papery' than the original which hadn't been replaced for years! That being said, I didn't feel the need to double it up, although that wouldn't be a problem as I could cut 4 filters out of a single sheet. As I bought two packs, I won't be needing any more for a while yet!

You should be able to see the indicators through the vent grill to be able to monitor when the filter needs changing.

  • Q In the maintenance video, Helen shows us the grease filter in the hood. Hit is held down with a wire hinge and there is also another layer of fabric on top of the filter paper. What is this and do you sell it? 1 Answer

In the video a sheet of carbon filter is fitted above the grease filter material. This helps absorb smells if the air is recirculated. It may not be required if venting externally or if you are using a cartridge carbon filter.

Your grease filters are metal and can be cleaned with a degreasing product and do not generally need to be replaced. This type of product is used in the other video attached.
