Does this button fit onto the cooker hob similar to a lightbulb fitting, ie bayonet fittings? 1 Answer

We believe this is a rubber 'grommet' type bung that fits into the surround and allows the switch under to be depressed.
As there seems to another part missing from the hob, what does it sit in? Cheers
