I found the utube video extremely helpful and easy to follow. On the strength of it I decided I could fit the element myself and purchased the part from espares. It arrived promptly and was easy to fit. I have saved myself pounds doing it this way and will use their service again.

On Saturday 19th December I turned my oven on for dinner and suddenly we lost power and lights, fiddled about with the Consumer Unit and got everything up and running except for the main oven. I phoned the company that the oven is insured with and was told an engineer could be with me on December 30th. Blind panic kicked in how on earth was Christmas dinner going to be cooked. On the Sunday we were expecting a visit from my daughter and her partner. When they arrived my daughters partner couldn't wait to take the inside panel off the back of the oven. Low and behold the element had blown. It was out in seconds and we were onto the E spares website to see if we could order one. Monday morning I phoned E spares who organised the part and next day delivery. Tuesday at 1-30p.m. the said part was delivered, an hour later after running a needle file through the bolt hole the oven was running again. Christmas dinner was duly cooked and all thanks to the quick response of E spares. Thank you so very very much.

Try heating up with a hair dryer or squirting some releasing fluid like WD40 or use a strap wrench for removing jam jar tops available from supermarkets.
