After months of having no light in the oven the purchase of this tool has solved the problem. Not easy to fit in the top corner of the oven but once there, it did the job and the cover was off.

This enabled the removal of the glass oven lamp cover in 2 seconds. Previously when the oven bulb has blown I have struggled for hours trying to remove the glass as it always sticks. Now its off in 2 seconds. Great product.

  • Q How do I get bulb cover off even with the gadget just purchased 3 Answers

The Lamp Cover remover tool has just been delivered. Neither of us are able to turn it and remove cover. Is there a technique/trick to this? Thank you.

I tried first by hand no go ,so I put on a pair of rubber gloves no problem the cover unscrewed without difficulty PS the oven was only 6 months old I am now going to look for a better designed bulb with an improved filament

Hi Gadgetmad. When the oven is cold, Play the hot air from a hair dryer over the glass surface for a few minutes. Start off on a low heat first. This should expand the glass cover a little to release the bond. This tip is a bit late as I have just seen your post.

I just bought one of these gizmos before Xmas and it did the trick immediately. No messing. Worked first time. You have to line up the 'fins' on the glass cover to the recesses in the gizmo. It is quite a secure fit when you get it on. It should just slide on and a sharp twist ANTI clockwise should do it. Make sure you are turning it to the left as you look at the light. Perhaps the glass housing is stuck on with oven / cooking deposits? Try some oven cleaner to free it perhaps? Good luck.

  • Q Dimensions of Removal Tool 1 Answer

Could you please let me know the dimensions of this tool? I have purchased one that is too small for the lamp cover of my Neff oven so I would like to know the diameter of this tool. Many thanks

We do not have dimensions for what lamp cover this fits but only sell one lamp cover tool. This does not fit all models.

Try to remove when warm/hot by using a oven glove to turn as the heat may help release it.

  • Q The oven light cover has broken off at the point where the thread starts, so there is nothing left to grip and unscrew the threaded length. Any suggestions, please? 1 Answer

It is easy to injure yourself when removing broken glass. It may be easier to replace the complete lamp holder.
