I was surprised how simple and easy it was to use, the cover which was locked solid, hey presto ! unscrewed first time, using this handy little tool.

very easy to use tool to change the bulb on a NEFF oven. The cost of the oven though raises a question why something like this isn't included? had the oven almost 10 years and changed the bulb twice - mainly because it's a tad difficult to open the housing.

Position of light in oven very awkward. The remover tool fits well but keeps slipping off. I was unable to unscrew but think when I get a man with a strong wrist to turn it, it will be alright. Have to wait until son or son in law comes for Christmas unless anyone has a better idea.

The Lamp Cover remover tool has just been delivered. Neither of us are able to turn it and remove cover. Is there a technique/trick to this? Thank you.

I tried first by hand no go ,so I put on a pair of rubber gloves no problem the cover unscrewed without difficulty PS the oven was only 6 months old I am now going to look for a better designed bulb with an improved filament

Hi Gadgetmad. When the oven is cold, Play the hot air from a hair dryer over the glass surface for a few minutes. Start off on a low heat first. This should expand the glass cover a little to release the bond. This tip is a bit late as I have just seen your post.

I just bought one of these gizmos before Xmas and it did the trick immediately. No messing. Worked first time. You have to line up the 'fins' on the glass cover to the recesses in the gizmo. It is quite a secure fit when you get it on. It should just slide on and a sharp twist ANTI clockwise should do it. Make sure you are turning it to the left as you look at the light. Perhaps the glass housing is stuck on with oven / cooking deposits? Try some oven cleaner to free it perhaps? Good luck.
