The tines brake off over time. It is easy to push out the old claws. Fitting the new ones can be tricky. You need to line up the loop of metal at the back of the claw with the slot in the plastic rotor - it might be filled with mud so use a pointed piece of metal - say a long mail to clear out the slot. Rotate the claw to get the long bit in , push the rest in with your fingers or a piece of plastic - I used the flymo scarper. (make sure you line up the tines of the claw with the existing ones, in the direction of rotation of the rotor)

  • Q How do you fit them as I can't see how to get them into the scarifier shaft. Unfortunatley I have lost the manual and can't find a copy on the net. 1 Answer
