Bosch Lawnmower/Lawnraker Positioning Lever

Does your lawnmower or lawnraker have a cracked handle lever? Time to replace it. This genuine spare from Bosch will have you up and mowing again in next to no time.

Top tip: When replacing, keep your free hand over the old lever to make sure your current spring doesn't pop in the air and get lost. Some more great fitting tips have been left in our customer reviews, just in case your current handle feels like it's welded on.

Make sure you view the model fit list before ordering to ensure the spare is suitable.

  • As Jimdee says, if you look down the side of where the round part of the handle fits over the 'spindle' on the outer casing, you'll see a tiny 'nipple' that you can push in with a screwdriver as you ease off the handle. By Paul D - - 03 July 2012
  • Yes, the old handle is well bedded in and needs a gentle lever out with a flat bladed screwdriver. Also, watch out for the spring loaded red safety button on the positioning lever. Keep your free hand over it when you lever the old lever off just in case it bounces off and is lost. By robjrees - Carmarthen - 22 May 2010
  • The outer casing has a little "nipple" which engages with the cylinder part of the lever and you should gently with a screwdriver prise outwards the casing to allow the cylinder to come up and out of the pillar on which it rotates. By Jimdee - sheffield - 25 August 2009
Answer this question

Tried installing replacement lever handle. When in closed position the handle presses against a thin metal strip and causes it to arc, but this does not appear to touch anything else to complete the circuit and so start the mower. Is there another metal strip/contact I should have? Has something dislodged? Any advice would be useful.
