This askoll pump fits and just required an extra bolt & nut through it to hold in place to filter housing. It works and is very good value compared to OM price, took me 45 mins from start to finish, am an engineer, but anyone could do this with basic DIY experience. Saved a lot of money too!

The machine's pump housing didn't take the new pump without some modification. I'm a maintenance electrician and managed it ok, but someone less mechanically minded may struggle a little. That said, it works, it's quiet and was a fraction of the price of the OE part. Good value.

My technician recommended running the hottest programme once a week to see off nasty smells. We found a dose of of washing m/c cleaner did the trick

The problem with your machine is likely to be a build up of mould and bacteria probably caused by not allowing the drum to dry out between washes. For more information see our video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/1524/how-to-use-limescale-and-detergent-remover

The machine is syphoning.Check your outlet hose is not rammed down the pipe also check the stand pipe is 18 inches high. The fault code is telling you that the water is being drained from the machine

H Nash, it sounds as if the problem is with either the sump hose (the hose that drains the drum down to the pump) or the pump. Check both for damage, and replace as necessary.

  • Q How do I replace a motor pump in my washing machine 2 Answers

I have a Tecnik washing machine model no TKL9060 which due to a short curcuit is now not working properly. An engineer said that it would be too costly to repair as it was a problem with the motor but if I replaced the motor pump would that solve the problem I wonder as all the programmes seem to be there on the control panel but it just makes a low whirring sound with no movement

There can be a number of reasons such as worn brushes or an out of balance load. For more details see our video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/7/1730/how-to-diagnose-washing-machine-motor-problems

  • Q washing machine makes a noise when on a spin 1 Answer

washes perfect there is a grinding noise when on a spin .but goes rite throu cicul ok

If the grinding is constant as water is draining check the 'filter' for coins pins hair grips etc. If it drains ok but gets noisier as it spins and the noise is present when turned by hand. Then the problem is likely to be bearings.
