The motor burnt out on my mower and rather than buy a new mower I thought I would have a go at replacing the motor. It was easy to identify, arrived quickly and didn't take long to fit. I got the mower working snd saved myself a few quid. Great product.

Although the motor looks different as it has a disc attached and the original did not. The difference did not affect the fitting of the motor. It was easy to replace and the mower now works like a dream. So don't buy a new mower replace the motor, it saves money. Also don't forget to check the belt in case it is worn. Happy mowing:)
Just recieved my new motor this morning, very speedy delivery indeed, The problem i have is i removed the older motor without realy checking exactly where the brown and blue wires were connected, and now i,m not sure where they go, any help would be greatly apreciated.

They can go either way.

I did check before removing the old motor. The blue lead goes to the rear of the mower, the brown to the front. A bigger problem for me was that there did not appear to be any way of knowing which way round the motor should be mounted. I decided it didn't matter or it would have been indicated on the motor. Anyway the new motor works a treat so either I was right or I mounted the motor the right way round by chance. I suspect it doesn't matter.

I've just changed my 350 motor and the new one had a plate on top, its just a product improvement to give some protection to the top of the unit, it still fits ok.
Hi
I have just watched your video re installing my new motor, unfortunately there is no clear indication as to where the red or blue wires go. it doesn't say live or neutral anywhere.
The only definite difference is where the two connection terminals are, underneath on the reverse of the white plastic, one terminal has the number 8 and on the other has number 4
Or one end has a black lead going into a terminal and at the other end it has a uncovered wire going into the terminal.
No sure which way to do it
Please advise
Many Thanks
Tony

Hi Tony, I'm be slightly nervous giving you exact instructions 'blind' - I don't want to be at fault for you electrocuting yourself! All I suggest is wiring the new motor in exactly the same way the old one is wired. Taking a photo of the old one before removing the wires can help here. Hope this helps.
