A really good quality element which fitted relatively easily. Be warned for our Kenwood Range cooker you have to remove the back panel and I had to use a Tap to create threads in the element bracket as it is plain drilled. Not difficult for a reasonable DIY'er however if you think it's a quick job from the front of the overn you may be disappointed!

Successfully fitted this compatible part to the oven of our Prestige PR1-D60 cooker. As mentioned by others, I had to tap the two mounting holes (i.e. create a thread inside them) using a 'standard M4 hand tap' to allow me to reuse the original mounting screws. I chose to tap (i.e. create the threads inside) the two mounting holes because I already had the required tapping tool (you can buy one for less than two pounds from Ebay etc.), but alternatively it would have been perfectly OK to have just used two standard self-tapping screws and the part as-supplied without tapping (creating) the threads. On the Prestige PR1-D60 oven I had to remove the rear cover of the cooker as well as the one inside the oven, but even then the whole job only took about 30 minutes. If you have basic DIY skills and basic hand tools then you can easily do this replacement.

Fitted easily, just needed slightly bigger screws when replacing as the original Kenwoods must have been slightly smaller, but not a problem

The UK mains voltage is 240 volts. Providing this fits it will be suitable.

I'm afraid you have to pull the cooker out. Isolate it from the mains - Trip switch in the consumer unit is the best way . Take the small self tappers from the back cover , then remove the back cover. The spade connections can be removed and one self tapper on the heater base the heater pops out fron the inside - reverse proceedure to instal - simples
