I bought the cheaper non brand identical match for the burnt out original. The only difference seems to be that I had to tap a thread in the fixing plate. The other options being self tappers or small nuts and bolts. I opted for next day delivery, no problems, very happy to save a packet by fixing it myself. I found the tips that previous reviewers posted very useful indeed, which enabled me to hunt down my tapping kit in advance. I have previously bought a pair of LG washing machine pumps... fitted about 6 years ago and still working well. All round excellent.

Had a call from a friend to say that her oven was not getting hot , can I help ?. It needed a new element, took the oven details, went onto Espares website, easily found the right element ,paid for overnight postage, Next morning the new element arrived, fitted in 30 minutes, oven works perfectly. Not a completely easy fix as the element had to be replaced from the back of the oven and the fixing holes were not threaded, but self tapping screws soon fixed that problem and the Espares easy fix video certainly helps anyone who is not sure how to proceed, .Its Espares for me every time..

Purchased this item at 20.05 and it arrived the next day at 12.05 oven back up and running that night. Followed the tutorial on the website and with a bit of help from you tube and hubby completed it without a hitch !!! Great service from Espares and will defiantly use again.

  • Q I've got a Kenwood CK 410, I've taken off the fan cover and found that it looks as if the element has been screwed on from behind the oven wall. How do I deal with that? any ideas welcome! 1 Answer

I'm afraid you have to pull the cooker out. Isolate it from the mains - Trip switch in the consumer unit is the best way . Take the small self tappers from the back cover , then remove the back cover. The spade connections can be removed and one self tapper on the heater base the heater pops out fron the inside - reverse proceedure to instal - simples
