I was in the middle of cooking a roast dinner when, all my sockets stopped working. Went and checked my C.U. And the main switch had tripped. Reckoned it must be the cooker. Had to wait for it to cool to find out which element had blown. Turned out to be the fan element. thought about it for a while get a new oven or fix the one I had. Decided to see how easy it would be to replace the fan element.looked easy enough. ordered it from Espares. Came next day and was up and running in no time

I've done this job before and thought I had an unused one from a previous order. They seem to last a year or two in my Blomberg oven. My experience of buying and fitting the product is excellent but I can only rate the quality and value as good because I don't know how long the part is going to last.

  • Q i have a belling built in oven grill and top oven work perfect but main oven just bows cold air what could this be it is fan assisted 1 Answer

Hi Neildale, It's hard to know for sure without having actually seen your cooker.. If there is a grill on the main oven and it's working great than I would hazard to guess that it's probably the fan element that needs to be replaced. The other main culprit for the issue you're describing would be the oven thermostat. We'll have more articles in our help centre on diagnosing cooker issues shortly.

  • Q Do I have to pull out the oven to fit this from the rear? 1 Answer

    By robster1000 - 14 July 2009

    • A
No! There 2 screws holding the element cover in side the oven. Remove this and simply unhook the element and pull out gently. The 2 connector wires will come out. disconnect and replace the element Simple
