Washing Machine 5 Tag Door Interlock

If your washing machine not starting, but the facia panel seems to show that all is correct, it could actually be an issue with the door interlock. If the door interlock fails, it means that your machine will not operate.

eSpares has this replacement interlock, that could soon be fitted to your washing machine. The door interlock is an electronic device that gives a 2-minute time delay once the wash/dry cycle has been completed - before you can then open the door. This will assist in preventing leaks.

  • Type: DA series DA260
  • 5 Tag connector

My machine starts filling with water then stops and the light indicates door is open and then I can't to anything with it at all. Is this the likely faulty part? And if so, can you tell me if this part fits my machine?

I suspect your problem is not caused by the door lock, but a fault elsewhere. Check our new video: How to diagnose washing machine control and program problems as this may help with your diagnosis.

This part is listed for your machine however we would also need the 12 digit Service Number of your appliance starting with 85. If you do not know what part needs to be replaced, please seek technical advice before ordering any spares.

Answer this question

Hi, I have removed the part from my washing machine Whirilpool AWM 6120/3 (8570 612 15530) checked and selected the correct option from your website, the part that I am after is the same in the picture except for the fact that the part I have removed only has 3 slides of metal inside the red plastic part that the wire connect to, and one gap where the could be one (this has not broken off, but part of the design). Could you confirm if the picture is correct ? The part number on the back of the red unit after being carefully removed from the black part states " ROLO DA series DA060 3481638 A" With the number 3, 4,5,6 near the area where the electronic plug link into the red unit.

Our parts are as displayed on the website and this is the correct part according to the model details provided. This part has been updated to a 5 tag interlock from 3 tags and should still work with your appliance. Please contact us if you have any further questions: http://www.espares.co.uk/contactus.aspx
