Followed the excellent video to fit. A few differences with mine but got there. Did test wash and no leak! However mains RCD tripped so had to order a heater element.

This was the cheaper of the products listed for my Bosch washing machine. It was half the price of the brand one, and has been leak free since I installed it. The video link was excellent. The instructions were very easy to follow. Instead of a Phillip's screwdriver, I needed a torc head to remove all the screws. There was the odd instruction in the video that wasn't relevant to my machine, but it was easy to carry out the installation of the seal otherwise. I completed the whole procedure in a cramped kitchen in around 45 minutes. Followed by two leak proof loads soon after. Watch the video a number of times before starting. This was my very first attempt at such a procedure, it went really well and I'm a proud amateur plumber as a result.

Hi Rory, I have also had a split door seal and this was then follwed by the machine not spinning, I have now replaced the door seal so what PCB is it I need to order and do you have videos of how to do that. The door seal video was perfect. Thanks. Also I can hear the relay on the control module pcb clicking on and off so do you think that would mean the pcb is ok and maybe the brushes are wet ?

Hi goodsy, the split seal will be leaking water, which could well have made its way towards electrical components inside the washing machine. I'd advise unplugging and not using again until you're sure everything's ok. It sounds as if the PCB may have been damaged by water leakage. I'd replace this, and replace the seal too.

The e-spares video is excellent - watch and listen carefully - you will need an extra pair of hands, just as the video explains.

  • Q Is this seal designed for a washer/dryer or just a washing machine? Only I can't see tubing for the vent in the photo. 1 Answer

ther is no tubing for a vent so I reckon its just for a washing machine. hope that helps

Hi Watos I'm afraid that without a model number I can't help you. Maybe if you could have one last double check for it? For help finding your model number, refer to our handy guide: http://www.espares.co.uk/findingmodelnumbers.aspx

  • Q 2 different seals 1 Answer

There are 2 washing machine seals on site, the ES1019977 for £11.99 and the ES478741 thats priced @ £26.49 both claim to be for my washing machine type Bosch WFD2460. Can anyone tell me the difference in the two? thanks and Happy new Year!

    by Pebs - 01 January 2009

    • A

Hi Pebs Both seals will fit your WFD2460 machine. We would recommend this one http://www.espares.co.uk/part/washing-machines/bosch/p/1085/856/0/0/478741/washing-machine-door-seal.html as it's a genuine Bosch part, whereas this one isn't. Happy new year!
