These have cut around 10 to 15 minutes off our dryer time but my wife argues that some of the clothes come out more wrinkled which goes against the claims made on this product. Also after I bought them here I say the same thing in a local shop for half the price!

I purchased these from the web site and have found no difficulty in their use.

Although the balls are quite hard they become a lot softer when heated up in the dryer.

No, they are designed for dryer use only.

Hi Nineo, You could put these balls in your washing machine but I'm not sure what the benefits would be. They would help agitate your clothes but that's also what the drum lifters are for. I have seen products for the washing machine that are simliar in form but supposedly reduce limescale. The real benefit of these balls are that they help reduce the time it takes to dry your clothes - thereby reducing the amount of energy consumption used.

It's recommended to use both at same time. That said depending on the size of the load you're drying you might find one is enough!

They are very noisy
by SuliRam - 08 November 2010
Hi SuliRam, I can confirm that, despite their noisiness, dryer balls will cause no damage to your dryer.

I have to use drier sheets in all my washes to prevent the static build up from jumpers, and tights especially - so will these balls also prevent the awful static as well as save me money on my leccy bill?
by MrsCheeks - 24 May 2010
Hi Mrscheeks, these balls should help reduce static build up on tights and jumpers. They help reduce crease and wrinkles, and should get between the clothes, preventing static build up.
