Looking at the space where the claw used to be is quite daunting - how did the old one get out of the hole and how on earth can I get one back in there.
Having identified the new part - by model number - it appeared to have a shape that would not fit!
On closer inspection there is a groove on the wall of the hole. Identify which way the bent part of the claw should finally face, insert one end of the spring into the hole and push the rest - locate the u-section of the claw in the slot and pull the now accessible end through the hole. Centre the position of the claw in the hole and its done - the simplest repair I have ever done - and all in 10 seconds!
